Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage
The body’s lymphatic system collects fluid due to genetic disorders, injury, infection, cancer treatment or surgery.
Brazilian Lymphatic Massage is a form of massage that involves stimulating the lymphatic drainage system of the body for the removal of toxins and excess fluids. Lymphatic drainage massage moves the lymph fluid easily through the nodes and tissues while providing contouring. It helps the body maintain proper blood circulation, body fluid balance and immune functions. It is a gentle yet vigorous massage that can provide several benefits such as reducing excess fluid retention while accentuating the body curves.
Benefits of lymphatic drainage massage:
- Contouring of the body and face into optimum shape
- Less bloating by moving lymph fluids away through nodes and tissues
- Scar healing by reducing scar formation following illness or surgery
- Improve skin quality and provides more vibrant appearance
- Remove excess water and metabolic waste from the tissues in the body
- Maintains proper blood circulation, fluid balance and immune functions
How To Prepare For Brazilian Lymphatic Massage:
- Take a shower prior.
- Avoid heavy meals 1 hour before your booking, and ideally, fast or eat a light meal.
- Be prepared to heavily hydrate after. Drinking a lot of water after helps to keep your results for longer.
- Avoid alcohol before your session, and avoid carbs, alcohol, and sugar after your session; consume very clean meals afterward.
Potential Side Effects:
As with any massage, light-headedness is likely the most common side effect, because you are increasing blood flow, but again—that can happen with any massage. Typically, people feel thirsty and need to rehydrate heavily after the massage.
